Job Responsibilities:
Competency Matrix
- Collaborate with department heads to gather insights into specific skill gaps and developmental opportunities.
- Analyze assessment data to identify trends, patterns, and common areas of improvement.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive competency matrix outlining the required skills and knowledge for each role.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA):
- Conduct Interview with HODs, CAP compilation & preparation, Skill Matrix, use the data to plan for the training programs for whole year.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify training needs and gaps within the organization.
Instructional Design & Training Delivery:
- Design engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, and multimedia content.
- Develop curriculum and learning paths.
- Deliver training sessions through various modalities, such as in-person workshops, virtual classrooms, and e-learning platforms.
- Facilitate interactive and participatory learning experiences to enhance knowledge retention.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and department heads to ensure training content is accurate and aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and establish rapport with diverse audiences.
Coordination of Staff Trainings:
- Pre-Training:
- Planning and sourcing for trainers, compare at least 3 quotations, arrange content customization discussion between trainers and requesters, arrange gemba if necessary, ensure course content meets Mattel’s needs & GMP requirements.
- Raise e-Training request / educate the requester to raise an e-Training request.
- Raise HRCORP grant.
- Work out the most suitable schedule with trainers & communicate to related participants / their supervisors.
- Food orders with the canteen
- Documentation preparation: attendance sheet, evaluation forms, training material / handouts preparation
- Training room set up.
- Request a gate pass for trainers
- Prepare NDA for new trainers.
- Training Day:
- Usher trainers to the training room & conduct safety briefing
- Assist trainers to set up a laptop (if required)
- Ensure full attendance for training
- Take pictures of training activities for the archive
- Ensure participants sign attendance and complete evaluation forms / post-test
- Post Training:
- Implement evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content.
- Follow up after 3 months on the Evaluation Level 3 report & distribute certificate of attendance.
- Support all audits by providing training records.
Others
- Support specific organizational needs for different levels of employees, E.g. Coaching programs for new managers, Process Engineering Series, Supervisory Development, etc
- Monitor the planning and implementation of EHS training programs in MMSB & MDT
- Ensure yearly training hours are met for both staff & DL level.
- Monitor HRDF utilization and act as the liaison between Mattel and PSMB and other industry players.
- Plan & implement On-Boarding schedule for newly joined staff/managers from Day 2 Orientation to line process training.
- Screen, review, and process all the Education Assistance Program applications
- Support & promote organization’s values / key concepts.
- Coordinate HR Monthly Update, including inviting speakers for sharing, planning out contents, food & room arrangement.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM or Management or Education or Training and Development, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certified as a trainer with 5-7 years of experience
- Proven experience as a Training Consultant or similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Proficient in the use of various training tools and technologies.
- Ability to adapt training programs to meet the evolving needs of the organization and respond to changing priorities.
- Flexibility in adjusting training delivery methods to accommodate different learning environments, including virtual and in-person settings.
- Adept at identifying training gaps and implementing innovative solutions to address organizational learning needs
- Proactive in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during training sessions.
Pay: Up to RM9,500.00 per month
