• To plan, provide and evaluate nursing care and treatment, or as instructed by the Nursing Manager / ACN.
• To carry out all Doctors’ prescribed treatment to the patients, to observe and record all the conditions of patients and to report accordingly of any adverse events to the Nursing Manager / ACN.
• To check and record the administration of prescribed drugs.
• To set up intravenous therapy as ordered by Doctor’s and to administer intravenous drugs and to record accordingly.
• To document, maintain accurate nursing records of patients and to ensure all staff are aware of patient’s conditions or any changes in treatment.
• To take reasonable measure to ensure safety of patients and to report all accidents/ incidents to the Nursing Manager / ACN.
• To liaise with other departments in the Hospital and to coordinate patients’ investigations and treatment, or as instructed by the Nursing Manager / ACN.
• To have sound knowledge in the practice of Safety and Health rules, fire drill, cardiac arrest and accident/ incident procedures.
• To assist the Nursing Manager / ACN in the careful maintenance of ward / unit equipment, preparation of ward inventory and ensure the safe custody of drugs in the ward unit.
