Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Development
- Assist in designing and delivering training programs for all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, etc.)
2. Training Coordination
- Schedule and organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars
- Coordinate with department heads to identify training needs
- Maintain training calendars and attendance records
3. Performance & Skills Assessment
- Assist in conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Monitor employee progress and evaluate training effectiveness
- Support performance improvement plans through targeted training
4. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all training complies with hotel policies and industry standards
- Support mandatory training (e.g., fire safety, hygiene, workplace safety)
- Maintain proper training documentation for audits
5. Staff Hostel Management (Accommodation)
- Oversee daily operations of staff hostel/accommodation
- Manage room allocation, check-in/check-out of staff, and occupancy records
- Ensure cleanliness, proper housekeeping, and upkeep of hostel facilities
- Coordinate maintenance and repair works with engineering or external vendors
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, hygiene, and discipline standards
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations to maintain a conducive living environment
- Handle staff accommodation-related concerns, complaints, and conflict resolution
- Monitor utility usage and ensure cost control (water, electricity, etc.)
6. Hostel Arrangement & Administration
- Plan and organize room arrangements based on staff movement (new hires, transfers, resignations)
- Maintain inventory of hostel assets (furniture, appliances, linens, etc.)
- Ensure adequate supplies and proper arrangement of living spaces
- Prepare reports related to hostel occupancy, maintenance, and incidents
- Liaise with HR and department heads regarding staff accommodation needs
7. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Promote a positive living and working environment for employees
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including activities within the hostel if applicable
- Assist in welfare programs to enhance staff satisfaction and retention
8. Administrative Duties
- Prepare reports, training materials, and presentations
- Maintain training and hostel records (manual or system-based)
- Assist in budget monitoring for training and hostel operations
- Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions for new hires
- Support implementation of brand standards and service excellence training
- Facilitate soft skills, customer service, grooming, and operational training
