Our client in the technology consulting and software development industry is seeking a Software Engineer to join its growing development team. This role offers the opportunity to develop enterprise applications using the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform while supporting clients in their digital transformation initiatives. Training will be provided for candidates transitioning from traditional software development into low-code development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Business IT Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum 1–5 years of experience in software development
• Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 level or equivalent)
• Experience working in Agile and/or Scrum environments
• Strong interest in Low-Code development technologies and willingness to learn the Mendix platform
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership and accountability
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
• Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies:
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• Experience with React Native is preferred
• Knowledge of the Mendix platform is preferred
• Strong organisational skills and punctuality in meeting commitments
• Comfortable working directly with clients and participating in client-facing projects
• Willingness to travel internationally for project assignments when required

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise applications using the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and Scrum activities
• Gather, define and document functional and technical software requirements
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and enhancement activities
• Understand client business processes and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Collaborate with clients, project stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Build and maintain professional client relationships through effective communication and collaboration
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends and software development best practices
• Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve development processes, products and service offerings
• Support project implementation activities at client sites when required
• Travel internationally for project assignments and client engagements when required
