2.         Role Purpose

The Electronic Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and designing electronic systems and PCB-related equipment. The role involves component-level diagnosis, PCB and circuit design, onsite technical support, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure efficient repair, maintenance, and development of electronic systems and industrial equipment.

3.         Key Responsibilities

3.1       Troubleshooting & Repair

o   Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of PCB boards, power supplies, inverters, servo drives, controllers, and other electronic equipment.

o   Diagnose electronic faults and carry out corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.

o   Conduct testing, repair, and modification of electronic components, assemblies, and related equipment.

o   Ensure all repair work complies with technical, quality, and safety standards.

3.2       Electronic Design & Development

o   Design electronic circuits and PCB layouts for automation and electronic applications.

o   Support prototype development, circuit testing, and product improvement activities.

o   Prepare and maintain technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.

o   Assist in evaluating electronic components and design improvements.

3.3       Technical Support & Customer Service

o   Visit customer sites for onsite troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support activities.

o   Provide technical recommendations and solutions to customers when required.

o   Support installation, testing, and commissioning of electronic systems and equipment.

o   Ensure timely response to customer technical issues and service requests.

3.4       Parts Coordination & Documentation

o   Liaise with Managers and Administration personnel regarding parts and component procurement.

o   Verify required electronic components and ensure accurate ordering specifications.

o   Maintain service records, repair reports, and technical documentation accurately.

o   Support inventory tracking and spare parts management activities.

4.0       Required Qualifications & Experience

Education - Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience - 2+ years in PCB repair, electronic troubleshooting, or industrial electronics. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Technical Skills - Good at soldering, circuit testing, PCB design, and troubleshooting.

Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of power supplies, servo drives, inverters, controllers, and industrial electronic systems

Tools - Familiar with oscilloscopes, Huntron, Polar and other testing instruments.

Software Knowledge - Able to read wiring diagrams and schematics, understand electronic parts and their functions. Computer proficiency with Windows & MS Office

Personal Attributes - Analytical, detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and able to work independently

Language - Bahasa Malaysia required; English proficiency preferred for technical documentation and communication with good communication skills in both spoken and written.

Value Added Skills - PLC Programming, C++, Circuit design/ Microcontroller IC programming

5.         Job Responsibilities

·         Work mainly in the lab, testing and repairing electronic systems and instruments.

·         Perform fault diagnosis, order parts if needed, and repair equipment efficiently.

·         Conduct onsite troubleshooting at customer locations.

·         Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to optimize repair processes.

·         Communicate with customers, team members, and management about issues and progress.

·         Follow proper procedures to protect equipment and ensure safety and cleanliness in the work environment.

·         Maintain accurate records of all repair services performed.

·         Work extra hours when necessary and think logically to complete tasks effectively.
