DUTIES & JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Provide daily manufacturing engineering support to production lines to minimize downtime and improve equipment availability.

2. Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve production equipment, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.

3. Plan, execute, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) activities.

4. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment or process issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.

5. Support equipment setup, commissioning, qualification, and buy-off for new or transferred products and processes.

6. Develop, review, and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

7. Support NPI, product transfer, and process changes, ensuring readiness in terms of equipment, process flow, and documentation.

8. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve process-related defects, yield loss, and variation.

9. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, and company standards.

10. Conduct time study, cycle time analysis, and line balancing to improve productivity and efficiency.

11. Support manpower planning, layout optimization, and capacity planning.

12. Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities through IE and lean principles.

13. Manage spare parts usage, recommend critical spare parts, and support procurement activities.

14. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including equipment records, process flow, control plans, and improvement reports.

15. Coordinate with external vendors or suppliers for equipment servicing, modification, or technical support.

16. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, process stability, quality, and cost.

17. Perform any other duties assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

Technical & Engineering

1. Strong hands-on capability in production equipment, jigs, and fixtures troubleshooting and improvement.

2. Good knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, sensors, pneumatics, motors, and basic PLC concepts.

3. Able to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, process flow, and SOPs.

4. Familiar with preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and equipment reliability improvement.

5. Good understanding of manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control concepts.

Industrial Engineering & Process

6. Knowledge of line balancing, cycle time analysis, manpower planning, and layout improvement.

7. Able to perform process analysis, capacity study, and productivity improvement.

8. Familiar with continuous improvement tools (e.g. 5S, Kaizen, basic Lean concepts).

Soft Skills

9. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and root cause analysis (RCA) skills.

10. Able to work independently and proactively drive solutions across departments.

11. Good communication and teamwork skills; able to support Production, Quality, and cross-functional teams.

12. Familiar with safety requirements and good engineering practices in a manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other equivalent engineering disciplines.

3–5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, covering equipment, process, or industrial engineering roles.

Ability to liaise with HQ China team and handle technical documents and communications effectively (for technical documents, drawings, and communication with HQ / suppliers).
