The role is responsible for overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring effective development, implementation, and internal distribution of new products. The position ensures all product launches meet customer requirements, quality standards, and project timelines while driving process yield improvement and continuous operational efficiency.

1. New Product Introduction (NPI) Management
   Manage and ensure new product introduction parts are developed and produced profitably based on customer requirements through efficient in-house manufacturing processes.

2. Customer Communication & Project Coordination
   Communicate directly with customers and participate in weekly conference calls to review project progress and status updates.

3. Manufacturing Strategy & Performance
   Develop and implement best-practice manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance and efficiency.

4. Operational Alignment
   Ensure manufacturing strategies and processes support business objectives in terms of cost, quality, and delivery targets, enabling the company to remain competitive.

5. Project Planning & Execution
   Establish project timelines, milestones, and deadlines for product development activities, including launch schedules.

6. Risk Management & Problem Solving
   Identify potential product or project risks, propose solutions, and assist with troubleshooting issues with both customers and internal teams.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
   Work closely with departments such as Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Planning, and Engineering to ensure successful project execution.

8. Supplier & Vendor Coordination
   Negotiate and coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers when necessary to meet company and customer expectations.

9. NPI Build Support
   Participate in on-site NPI builds to understand design, process, and material challenges, working closely with relevant teams to resolve issues.

10. RFQ & Costing Support
    Support RFQ preparation and collaborate in creating Bill of Materials (BOM) with marketing and customer teams.

11. Process Improvement & Yield Enhancement
    Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost reduction, scrap reduction, productivity improvement, and process yield optimization.

12. Customer Satisfaction & Delivery Performance
    Ensure production yield targets are achieved and product deliveries meet specified timelines while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

1. Education

   • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial / Mechatronics) or equivalent.

2. Experience

   • Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Development within a manufacturing environment.

   • Experience in high precision machining / manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

3. Technical Knowledge

   • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, and process optimization.

   • Familiar with BOM preparation, RFQ process, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

   • Knowledge of quality control tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis) is preferred.

4. Project Management

   • Proven ability to manage multiple NPI projects simultaneously, including timeline management and cross-functional coordination.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Management

   • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

   • Experience in customer meetings and project status updates.

6. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills

   • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.

7. Team Collaboration

   • Ability to work closely with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Planning, Logistics, and Engineering teams.
