What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions

  2. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring adherence to established procedures and professional standards

  3. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards

  4. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments

  5. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls

  6. Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements

  7. Monitor budget performance and provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management

  8. Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and coordinate tax filings and submissions

  9. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and timeliness

  10. Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information and documentation

What we're looking for

  1. Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  2. Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is highly desirable

  3. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management capacity

  4. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards and best practices

  5. Proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel

  6. Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

  7. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and develop team members

  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  10. Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements

  11. Experience with financial systems implementation or process improvement is prefer
