Job Title: Critical Power Solution Engineer
Are you a creative Critical Power Architect who wants to shape reliable, efficient, and more sustainable power infrastructure for hyperscale and colocation data centres? Join our Center of Competence for Data Centers team at Siemens and help shape the future of smart critical power solutions in a role that combines technical ownership with customer interaction in an international environment.
You'll make a difference by:
- Designing end-to-end critical power architecture: Taking charge of the main electrical infrastructure for Data Centers (from grid connection and MV distribution down to LV distribution) and translating complex client requirements into engineered solutions.
- Driving the technical sales and execution strategy: Serving as the technical conscience for customers, leading clarifications, proposing value engineering solutions, and owning key design choices from the initial capture phase through to project execution.
- Integrating complex, large-scale systems: Collaborating with international factories and specialists to seamlessly integrate switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and automation into complete packaged solutions like modular E-Houses or pre-assembled skids.
- Managing critical interfaces and project lifecycles: Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, operators) to resolve technical gaps while maintaining a sharp focus on safety, risk management, and long-term efficiency.
You'll win us over by:
- Bringing deep technical expertise: Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Engineering alongside at least 8 years of experience designing medium-to-low voltage power distribution systems, ideally in critical data center environments.
- Demonstrating a holistic, generalist mindset: Showing a strong understanding of how multiple subsystems interact (switchgear, protection, batteries, HVAC) and possessing a passion for interface management and creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
- Exhibiting stellar communication and resilience: Having the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while confidently navigating both short and long design cycles.
- Balancing a big-picture view with sharp execution: Proving you can successfully juggle multiple projects and tight deadlines without losing sight of critical details, industry standards (like IEC), or compliance requirements.
