We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Engineer / Mechanical Engineer specializing in Air Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), and Electrical Systems to oversee the planning, execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E works for construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise ACMV and electrical installation works at project sites.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
Technical & Engineering Responsibilities
- Prepare and review shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Ensure HVAC, air-conditioning, ventilation, and electrical systems comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and installation quality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Review and verify material specifications and procurement requirements.
Testing & Commissioning
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure all systems are tested and operating according to design requirements.
- Prepare commissioning reports and as-built documentation.
- Assist in obtaining approvals and certifications from relevant authorities.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitor site quality control and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives on site.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare progress reports, site records, and project documentation.
- Track project costs, material usage, and resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and technical correspondence.
- Assist in project close-out and final documentation.
