Job Summary
Support by managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with GST reporting and audit requests to ensure timely and compliant financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices by verifying supporting documents to ensure accurate accounts payable transactions
- Prepare payment vouchers and coordinate vendor payments to maintain timely disbursements
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies to uphold accurate financial records
- Issue customer invoices and update customer accounts to facilitate accurate accounts receivable management
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments to optimize cash flow
- Reconcile customer statements and investigate discrepancies to maintain account accuracy
- Enter financial data and maintain accounting records within the accounting system for reliable reporting
- Assist in bank reconciliations and cash management to ensure accurate cash balances
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules to support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain proper filing of accounting and financial documents for audit readiness
- Support GST reporting and prepare schedules to comply with tax regulations
- Ensure accounting records adhere to Singapore accounting standards and company policies
- Assist with internal and external audit requests to facilitate smooth audit processes
- Handle finance-related correspondence and documentation to support administrative functions
- Assist in preparing management reports and ad-hoc financial analyses to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with finance team members and work independently to achieve departmental goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience handling GST submissions to support tax compliance
- Experience working in an SME environment to adapt to dynamic business needs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems to enhance accounting efficiency
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting and tax requirements to ensure regulatory compliance
