Job responsibilities

Data Cleaning & Transformation

• Consolidate and clean data from multiple source systems to ensure accuracy and consistency for financial reporting
• Develop scalable and repeatable data preparation workflows using Power Query, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric etc.
• Support the migration of excel spreadsheet-based processes to structured data pipelines

Report Automation & Process Improvement

• Design, build, and implement automated reporting solutions
• Develop and improve Power Query workflows for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
• Document all automated processes to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer

Power BI Dashboard Development

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Build and maintain data models, calculated measures (DAX), and KPI frameworks aligned to business objectives
• Collaborate with the Finance team to translate business requirements into clear, actionable visual outputs

Financial Modelling & Analysis

• Support the development of robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
• Support ad hoc analytical requests

Technical Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas
• Strong working knowledge of Power Query (M language) and Microsoft Fabric
• Demonstrated experience building Power BI dashboards, including data modelling and DAX measures
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Power Automate, VBA macros
• Experience with Python/ SQL or database querying is desirable but not mandatory

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a finance, data, or analytical role
• Prior experience within the education sector is an advantage but not a prerequisite

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements
