Job Description
SKUD Technical is hiring a Technical Office Engineer (TAB) to support our HVAC Testing, Adjusting and Balancing projects from the technical office side.
This role involves preparing TAB reports, compiling air-side and water-side readings, reviewing HVAC drawings, preparing AutoCAD markups, managing technical documents, tracking client submissions, and coordinating with the TAB Manager, site engineers, project team, and clients.
This is a technical support role, not a general admin role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and compile TAB reports for air-side and water-side HVAC systems
- Review site readings and follow up on missing, incomplete, or inconsistent data
- Review HVAC drawings, schematics, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and equipment schedules
- Prepare AutoCAD markups for TAB points, equipment references, valves, grilles, diffusers, dampers, and system zoning
- Prepare method statements, ITPs, calibration records, instrument lists, report templates, and technical submissions
- Track client comments, submissions, resubmissions, approvals, and pending documents
- Maintain proper project files in SharePoint and OneDrive
- Coordinate with the TAB Manager, Senior TAB Engineers, TAB Engineers, Project Coordinator, and clients
- Support project progress tracking, report status updates, and project close-out documentation
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services, or related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in HVAC, ACMV, M&E, TAB, testing and commissioning, technical office, or project documentation
- Fresh graduates with strong AutoCAD, Excel, and documentation skills may apply
- Able to read HVAC drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, and technical documents
- Basic understanding of AHU, FCU, MAU, VAV, exhaust systems, pumps, valves, grilles, diffusers, dampers, and chilled water systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PDF markup tools
- Good attention to detail, follow-up ability, and communication skills
