Sales Coordinator (Commodities Trading)

Our client, a well-established commodities trading company, is seeking a Sales Coordinator to join their Singapore team.

This role is responsible for ensuring smooth end-to-end execution of sales transactions, from contract creation to shipment, documentation, billing, and final settlement. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and customers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution of all commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales contracts, offers, amendments, pricing, and customer records

  • Coordinate end-to-end import/export shipments and trade documentation

  • Handle international trade documentation for South Africa and Southeast Asia markets

  • Ensure compliance with Incoterms in all shipping and trade arrangements

  • Prepare and process Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and ensure banking compliance

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution

  • Maintain accurate sales, shipment, and inventory data

  • Prepare monthly sales and performance reports for management meetings

  • Support ERP system updates (e.g. NetSuite / SAP) and data accuracy

  • Provide general commercial and administrative support as required

  • Occasional business travel (approximately once a year)

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales coordination, trading, logistics, or import/export operations

  • Experience in commodities trading or international trade environment is highly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms and Letter of Credit (LC) processes

  • Familiar with export/import documentation and shipping procedures

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle NetSuite) is an advantage

  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment
