Job description

As a Human Resource Intern at Ryze, you will work alongside our HR team and gain practical exposure across the full spectrum of human resources — from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement and HR administration. This is a learning-focused role designed to give students and fresh graduates real responsibility and genuine insight into how a modern people function operates.

On the recruitment side, you will help source and screen candidates, schedule and coordinate interviews, communicate with applicants, and keep our hiring trackers up to date. You will see the full recruiting pipeline in action and play a real part in bringing new talent into the company. You will also support the onboarding of new hires, helping prepare documentation, accounts, and a smooth first-week experience.

Day to day, you will assist with HR administration such as maintaining employee records, organising files and HR documents, and ensuring information is accurate and confidential. You will help coordinate team activities and engagement initiatives, support basic payroll and leave administration where needed, and contribute to ongoing HR projects and process improvements. Throughout the internship, you will be mentored and given the space to ask questions, take ownership of tasks, and build a strong foundation for a career in human resources.

This is an on-site internship, ideal for someone who is organised, personable, discreet with confidential information, and eager to learn.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing, screening, and shortlisting candidates across open roles.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews and communicate with applicants.
• Maintain and update recruitment trackers and candidate records.
• Support onboarding of new hires, including documentation and first-week preparation.
• Help maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR files.
• Assist with HR administration, including leave and basic payroll support where needed.
• Help organise team activities, engagement initiatives, and internal events.
• Support ongoing HR projects, research, and process improvements.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team as required.

Education & eligibility

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Students seeking an internship placement to fulfil academic requirements are welcome to apply.
• Fresh graduates looking to gain HR experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Available to commit to a [3–6 month] internship on-site at our [City] office.

Requirements

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
