Budget Management

• Partner with the DCO, BO, and Finance teams to develop and manage annual OPEX and minor CAPEX budgets for site operations.
• Monitor actual spending against budget and ensure adherence to approved allocations.
• Support budget transfers and bring forward requests to align with operational requirements.
• Prepare and deliver regular budget tracking reports and variance analysis to the Head of Operations.

Forecasting & Investment Support

• Develop and maintain operational cost forecasts (e.g. utilities, maintenance, contracts) to support planning and decision-making.
• Analyze forecast vs actual performance, highlighting key variances, risks, and trends.
• Support the Investment team by providing OPEX forecasts, cost assumptions, and scenario analysis for new markets and data center developments.
• Contribute to business case evaluations by validating operational cost inputs and financial assumptions.

Financial & Operational Analysis

• Perform cost analysis on key expense categories (e.g. utilities, maintenance, outsourcing).
• Analyze cost drivers and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Support COGS tracking and validation, ensuring alignment with operational activities.
• Provide insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Reporting & Stakeholder Support

• Prepare operational financial reports (e.g. budget vs actual, forecast updates, cost summaries).
• Provide clear insights and recommendations to operations stakeholders.
• Support internal reviews, audits, and management reporting requirements.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial goals.
• Provide financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders to enhance budget awareness and cost control.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CPA) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance management, preferably in data centre operations or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
