Job description

We are seeking an experienced CAD Plugin Developer to build an automation tool for modifying and exporting CAD models as STL files. This plugin will integrate with our website platform, streamlining the process of model customization and export.

Responsibilities:

Develop a plugin for Blender or FreeCAD to automate the modification of CAD models and export them as STL files.

Ensure accurate mesh geometry and scaling in STL exports.

Integrate the plugin with the website to enable seamless model upload, modification, and STL export.

Provide basic UI controls for interacting with the plugin and implement error handling/logging. Deliverables:

Fully functional plugin (Blender or FreeCAD) with STL export functionality.

Integration with the website for automated processing of 3D models.

Documentation and error handling features. Required Qualifications (mandatory requirements): Proficiency in scripting or programming languages used in Blender or FreeCAD (e.g., Python for Blender, or other scripting languages for FreeCAD).

Experience with STL file handling, mesh manipulation, and CAD model processing.

Prior experience developing CAD plugins or automating CAD workflows.

Strong understanding of 3D geometry, model optimization, and mesh processing.

Familiarity with web-based automation and plugin integration
