Project Manager / Project Coordinator – IT Infrastructure & Storage Projects

Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Employment Type: 12-Month Renewable Contract

Travel Requirement: Regular travel to Singapore, approximately 1–2 days per week

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination and delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure and data-storage projects.

The successful candidate will be primarily based in Johor Bahru and may be required to travel to Singapore approximately one to two days per week, depending on project activities and customer requirements.

This role is suitable for an experienced Project Coordinator who is ready to take on greater ownership, or a Project Manager who enjoys hands-on coordination, stakeholder engagement and project tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate enterprise IT infrastructure and storage-related projects from planning through implementation, completion and handover.
• Work closely with customers, technical teams, vendors, partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, implementation plans, action trackers and status reports.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and outstanding issues.
• Arrange and attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
• Coordinate site activities, deployment schedules, technical resources and customer requirements.
• Support the planning of hardware delivery, installation, configuration, testing and handover activities.
• Ensure that project documentation is properly maintained and updated.
• Provide regular progress updates to management and escalate potential delays or project risks promptly.
• Coordinate with stakeholders in Malaysia and Singapore when required.
• Support multiple projects concurrently while ensuring that timelines and service expectations are met.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or a related discipline.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in project coordination or project management.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure, systems integration, data-centre, storage, server or technology deployment projects will be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up closely on outstanding actions.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working with customers, technical teams, vendors and partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and project-tracking tools.
• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with regional teams.
• Based in Johor Bahru or willing to work primarily from Johor Bahru.
• Able and willing to travel to Singapore approximately one to two days per week.
• Possess a valid passport and be able to travel between Malaysia and Singapore when required.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to enterprise storage solutions, IT hardware deployment or infrastructure implementation projects.
• Experience coordinating data-centre activities, technical installations or customer-site projects.
• Familiarity with project documentation, implementation schedules, risk tracking and status reporting.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
