Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operation Executive at Natural Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd (A Member of Wilmar International Group of Companies) in Pasir Gudang.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics operations.
- Experience managing import/export shipments, bulk logistics, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.
- Familiar with SAP system and logistics processes.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Logistics & Transportation Operations
- Manage daily logistics activities including local deliveries, import/export shipments, and bulk shipment operations according to operational schedules.
Weighbridge & Operational Control
- Oversee daily weighbridge operations and ensure accurate weighing processes.
- Investigate and resolve weighing discrepancies, operational issues, and system-related problems.
- Ensure weighbridge staff perform daily operational tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Monitor weighbridge calibration, certification validity, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare monthly weighbridge duty rosters and operational reports.
Import / Export & Shipment Management
- Manage bulk shipment planning and coordinate movement of products between facilities.
- Support preparation of import/export documentation and ensure timely processing.
- Ensure SAP transactions, shipment postings, and trade documentation are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve issues affecting delivery schedules.
Process Improvement & Problem Solving
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for customer complaints and logistics-related issues.
- Raise corrective actions with transporters/suppliers when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare operational reports, management updates, and performance reviews.
- Support quality management system requirements and compliance standards (ISO, HACCP, GMP, Halal, and other applicable standards).
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support supplier/vendor evaluation activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Production, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, and external partners to ensure smooth product movement.
- Communicate operational updates and coordinate solutions with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements and ensure timely delivery of products while meeting customer and business requirements.
- Monitor haulier performance and ensure sufficient transport capacity to support daily operations.
- Liaise with transporters, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve logistics issues and prevent operational delays.
- Support transport tender exercises, including reviewing transporter performance, rates, and service agreements.
