Job Overview

This role is responsible for effectively translating product designs and customer requirements into executable manufacturing processes, providing end-to-end technical support for product introduction, customization, process optimization, and production delivery. The position also oversees local technical operations in Singapore, manages the on-site engineering team, and works closely with the engineering headquarters in China to drive process improvement, technical issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring quality, efficiency, and delivery targets are achieved.

Salary Range:S$6,000-10,000



Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements and product designs into manufacturing inputs, and develop, maintain, and optimize process documentation, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), product customization, and engineering change implementation to ensure smooth transition into mass production.
  • Optimize tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and production workflows to improve efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues arising from production lines and customer application environments, and implement root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational capability, delivery performance, and service level.
  • Lead and manage the Singapore-based technical team, including resource coordination, technical guidance, and training to ensure effective implementation of process standards.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering teams in China to ensure alignment, effective communication, and successful execution of technical solutions.
  • Provide technical training and coaching to production operators and relevant stakeholders to strengthen process compliance and capability development.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards, and support audits and improvement programs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing process engineering, production engineering, or related technical roles; experience in team leadership or project coordination is an advantage.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo, with good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Strong knowledge of metal and plastic materials as well as common manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Familiar with quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving abilities in production and customer-facing technical environments.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in managing teams, developing talent, and driving project execution in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to undergo 15-30 days of onboarding training at the China workplace, covering corporate culture and production processes.
