This role is to support and manage a wide range of consulting assignments, with strong exposure to data analysis, financial modelling, and data-driven problem solving.
This role combines business consulting and analytics, offering opportunities to work with real datasets, develop analytical models, and deliver practical insights across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
- Support data analytics, business intelligence and data visualisation work across consulting engagements, including sustainability, enterprise risk management, internal audit, SOX / J-SOX, anti-fraud, regulatory compliance and finance operations projects.
- Collect, clean, organise and analyse client data from various sources, including Excel files, ERP / accounting system reports, GL listings, reconciliation schedules, operational records and other datasets.
- Perform data mapping, reconciliation, variance analysis, exception testing and trend analysis to identify anomalies, red flags, control exceptions, process gaps and other business insights.
- Prepare dashboards, charts, analytical schedules, working files and presentation materials using Excel, Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
- Document data sources, assumptions, analysis performed and key findings in a clear, structured and reviewable manner.
- Work with managers, consultants and clients to understand project requirements, translate data into practical insights and support other consulting or project tasks as assigned.
Specific Job Requirements
- Strong interest in data analytics, business intelligence, data visualisation and practical business problem-solving.
- Good analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns, exceptions, inconsistencies and insights from data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including data cleaning, data modelling, dashboard preparation and visual reporting; exposure to DAX, Power Query, SQL or Python will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting, finance, audit, internal control, risk management, compliance or business processes will be an added advantage.
- Able to communicate findings clearly, work on multiple assignments in a project-based consulting environment, and maintain professionalism, integrity and confidentiality when handling client information.
- Travelling within Malaysia is expected.
Qualifications
- At least a University’s Bachelor’s Degree and/or post-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics or equivalent
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
