Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front office operations to ensure exceptional guest service, smooth operations, and compliance with hotel standards. This role involves supervising front office staff, handling guest relations, and coordinating closely with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations

  • Assist in managing daily front desk operations including check-in, check-out, and room allocation.
  • Ensure SOPs, service standards, and brand guidelines are consistently followed by all Team members
  • Monitor VIP arrivals, group check-ins, and special guest requests
  • Act as Duty Manager when Operations required
  • Handle guest complaints, feedback, and service recovery professionally
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business and also build and maintain strong relationships with guests
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate the Front Office team while assisting with duty rosters, managing staff attendance, and conducting training, daily briefings, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate billing, posting, and cashiering procedures; verify cash floats, night audit handovers, and daily revenue reports; handle shift closings, resolve cash discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation, filing, and audit compliance
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security, Sales, and Reservations to ensure operational efficiency and communicate effectively on room status, guest needs, and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and legal requirements while handling emergency situations calmly and in accordance with established protocols.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field *(Candidate with no certification but strong work experience will be considered)
  • Minimum 2–4 years experience in Front Office, with supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in PMS systems (e.g. IFCA or equivalent).
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Calm, professional, and guest-oriented personality.
  • Open to Malaysian citizen only

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
