A storekeeper is responsible for managing the storage, handling, and control of materials, goods, and inventory within a warehouse, store, or site. The role ensures that items are properly received, recorded, stored, and issued in an organized and efficient manner.

Here’s a clear breakdown of the job:

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving Goods
• Inspect incoming materials for quantity and quality
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders or delivery orders (DO)
• Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate stock records (manual or system-based)
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock
• Conduct regular stock checks and stock audits
• Storage & Organization
• Arrange and store items systematically for easy access
• Ensure proper labeling and segregation of materials
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the storage area
• Issuing Materials
• Prepare and issue materials based on request forms
• Record all outgoing items properly
• Documentation
• Keep proper records of all transactions (in/out)
• Update inventory systems, bin cards, or stock cards
• Prepare reports for management when required
• Coordination
• Work closely with procurement, site team, and suppliers
• Assist in tracking deliveries and material usage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
