The Building & Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and technical upkeep of the condominium’s facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure all building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and servicing of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems.
- Attend promptly to repair requests and defect reports from residents or the Management Office.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and record all maintenance activities in logbooks or digital systems.
- Assist in overseeing and verifying the work of external contractors and service providers.
- Monitor and maintain common area lighting, pumps, motors, water tanks, and air-conditioning systems.
- Support the Management Office in troubleshooting and resolving building-related issues.
- Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are kept in good working condition.
- Maintain safety standards at all times and comply with the building’s safety and emergency procedures.
- Assist in renovation inspections and report any non-compliance with house rules.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management Office or Building Manager.
Job Requirements
- Education: Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in property management, facility maintenance, or similar environment.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, mechanical systems, and building repair works.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and safety practices.
Personal Attributes:
- Responsible, proactive, and hands-on with good problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Other Requirements:
- Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, and after-hours when required (on standby duty).
- Possession of an Electrical Certificate or related qualification is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
