Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineer (Mechanical / Mechatronics) role based in Kedah, Malaysia. The Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical and mechatronic components, assemblies, and systems for industrial machinery, automation, and equipment. Daily tasks include creating and updating 3D models and technical drawings, performing calculations and simulations, and preparing design documentation for manufacturing. The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly, as well as troubleshooting mechanical and mechatronic issues during prototyping, testing, and production. The Engineer will also assist in continuous improvement initiatives, support project planning and coordination, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering, with applied knowledge in Mechanical Engineering principles and Machine Design.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar) for 3D modeling, drafting, and design documentation.
- Experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D), including concept generation, prototyping, testing, and design validation.
- Ability to support Project Management activities such as planning, scheduling, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers, and tracking progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, sheet metal, stamping) and basic knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
