Purpose: The Assistant Facilities Manager supports the Facilities Manager in overseeing and managing the daily operations, maintenance, and improvement of the facility's mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role ensures that all facility services are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing maintenance and repair of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance and repair work
• Support the Facilities Manager in budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation for facility operations and projects
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including fire safety, security, and workplace safety measures
• Participate in planning and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to improve facility efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage facility-related documentation, reports, and record-keeping
• Provide support during emergency situations and coordinate appropriate responses
• Facilitate communication between management, staff, contractors, and vendors regarding facility matters
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Facility Management, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in facility management or relevant role
• Knowledge of building systems operations and maintenance practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate and manage contractors and vendors effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements
