We began by supplying and maintaining wafer production tools for the semiconductor industry, later expanding into equipment sales and laboratory maintenance. Today, EMS focuses on commissioning authority and sustainability engagement services, as well as Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Consultation Services, helping manufacturers and building product suppliers make their environmental performance credible, transparent, and globally recognized.

About The Role

We are looking for a full-time Commissioning Intern to join our data centre and semiconductor facility projects in Johor. This is a fully on-site role in which you will assist with commissioning work, support engineers during site inspections and testing, and help with documentation. You will gain practical experience in system commissioning — from installation through to handover — while working alongside engineers, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the execution of on-site commissioning activities

* Support the preparation of commissioning plans and checklists

* Participate in system testing, verification, and basic validation procedures

* Review engineering drawings and ensure that all documentation remains current and accurate

* Record test results and assist in the compilation of commissioning reports

* Provide support for troubleshooting activities during the testing phase

* Coordinate with project teams and vendors as and when required

Qualifications/Requirements

* Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field

* Must be based in or willing to relocate to Johor

* Available for an internship commitment of 3 months or more

* Basic knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems is an added advantage

* Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings is a plus

* Demonstrates willingness to learn of commissioning processes and relevant standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEBB)

* Possesses strong communication teamwork skills

* Proactive attitude and willingness to work on-site
