Position Purpose
The Engineering Manager serves as the overall technical authority and single point of accountability for all Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities at the KTP-A Data Center. This role is responsible for governance of the PM programme, ensuring all scheduled works are executed safely, compliantly, and within approved scope.
Key Responsibilities
PM Programme Governance
- Own and oversee the full Preventive Maintenance programme for all approved systems and equipment at KTP-A
- Ensure PM schedules are developed, maintained, and executed in accordance with OEM recommendations, statutory requirements, and data center best practices
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and PM checklists prior to execution
- Enforce strict scope discipline – no corrective, emergency, or ad-hoc works are to be initiated without written approval from Day One
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Act as the primary liaison between Terotechnology and Day One for all PM-related matters
- Provide structured PM performance reports to Day One on a monthly basis, including KPI results, compliance status, and deviation reports
- Escalate any findings, deficiencies, or scope deviation requests to Day One promptly and through approved channels
- Coordinate with Day One’s operations team to ensure PM activities are aligned with site operational priorities
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the on-site PM team, including Lead Electrical Engineer, Lead Mechanical Engineer, Planning & Scheduling Engineer, Admin Executive, and Technicians
- Ensure all team members are competent, certified, and briefed on current PM assignments and safety requirements
- Conduct regular team briefings, toolbox talks, and performance reviews
QESH & Compliance
- Ensure all PM works comply with Terotechnology’s QESH standards and Day One’s site safety rules and permit-to-work system
- Maintain a zero-incident culture on site
- Support audit readiness and compliance documentation at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facility Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in facilities management or data center O&M
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary maintenance teams
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure: power, cooling, BMS, and life safety systems
- Chargeman certification (where applicable) is an advantage
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
Pay: From RM12,500.00 per month
