JOB PURPOSE
The Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements. The role supports project teams by providing accurate planning, progress tracking, and delay analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Prepare baseline schedules, progress updates, and recovery plans when delays occur.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to collect progress information.
- Monitor project milestones, critical path activities, and project performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client submission.
- Identify potential scheduling risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Evaluate project delays and assist in extension of time (EOT) claims where required.
- Support resource planning and coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment timelines.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide planning input.
- Ensure all planning documentation is properly maintained and updated.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction planning (preferably infrastructure/building projects).
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path method (CPM), and project controls.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
