IT Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team at Menara CIMB. The ideal candidate will lead and manage system projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in software implementation and a deep understanding of the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage department-assigned system projects and enhancements in work procedures.

• Provide end-to-end project management for system enhancements, implementation, and monitoring processes to completion.

• Develop project charters and plans, and prepare and obtain budget approvals.

• Manage and control project scope and schedule, establishing change control boards and obtaining project approvals.

• Collaborate with relevant teams and vendors to design, develop, and implement projects.

• Manage project budgets and costs, ensuring delivery within deadlines.

• Liaise with internal teams or external vendors for software product sourcing, selection, and implementation.

• Conduct weekly status meetings and update management and key stakeholders on project progress.

• Identify potential risks and issues, proactively resolving them and firming up mitigation plans.

• Analyze and manage project impacts, interfaces, and inter-dependencies.

• Seek opportunities for continuous process improvement.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Degree in computer science.

• At least 5 years of project management experience with a proven track record in software implementation delivery.

• Experience in handling governance, audit, and compliance for project delivery in the financial/banking industry.

• Strength in project planning, risk management, quality control, implementation, vendor management, and collaboration.

• Good knowledge of banking/financial services systems.

• Competency in project risk and issue management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Projects and familiarity with project management tools.

• Skilled in PowerPoint and presentation.
