We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager (Infrastructure) to lead and oversee enterprise IT infrastructure operations in a fast-paced managed services environment. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, major incident handling expertise, and a solid technical background across infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations to ensure high availability, performance, and service continuity.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, governance standards, and operational procedures.
- Drive service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Major Incident & Service Management
- Lead and manage P1/P2 Major Incident calls involving cross-functional teams.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of critical incidents.
- Conduct Post-Incident Reviews (PIR) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Implement preventive and corrective actions to reduce recurring incidents.
- Act as the primary escalation point for infrastructure-related issues.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular operational updates and executive-level reporting.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and service delivery.
- Influence and coordinate multiple teams to drive tasks, upgrades, and incidents to closure.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage remote, offshore, and distributed infrastructure teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop team members to improve operational performance.
- Coordinate with service providers and vendors to ensure quality delivery.
Vendor & Governance Management
- Monitor vendor performance and contractual obligations.
- Drive service improvements through effective vendor governance.
- Ensure compliance with ITSM processes and organizational policies.
Preferred Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Data Center Operations
- Servers & Storage
- Enterprise Networking
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Virtualization Technologies
- End User Computing
- Service Desk Operations
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools including:
- SolarWinds
- Dynatrace
- Exposure to automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell or Python is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Application Support environments is beneficial.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Infrastructure Operations Manager or Service Delivery leadership role.
- Proven experience managing 24x7 enterprise operations environments.
- Strong experience handling Major Incidents, RCA, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience leading cross-functional, remote, and offshore teams.
- Experience working within Managed Services environments.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and governance frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and influencing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
