The Senior Manager / Manager, Training is responsible for leading the operations training function for Tealive and Bask Bear Coffee, ensuring consistent execution of operational standards, product quality and customer experience across the outlet network.
This role oversees the development and implementation of operational training programmes, SOP deployment, product and beverage preparation standards, food safety initiatives, career advancement programmes and digital learning platforms. Working closely with Operations, R&D, Quality Assurance, HR and Marketing, the incumbent ensures that new products, promotional campaigns and operational initiatives are effectively translated into practical training solutions for outlet teams.
The role plays a critical part in strengthening frontline operational capabilities, supporting business growth and maintaining brand consistency across both concepts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the planning, development and execution of operations training strategies and programmes for Tealive and Bask Bear Coffee to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee the development, implementation and continuous improvement of outlet training modules, onboarding programmes, operational SOPs and learning materials to ensure consistency across the outlet network.
- Partner with Operations, R&D, Quality Assurance and Marketing to translate new products, promotional campaigns, Limited Time Offers (LTOs) and business initiatives into effective operational training solutions.
- Drive operational readiness and training effectiveness by identifying capability gaps, conducting competency assessments and implementing targeted development initiatives for outlet teams.
- Lead food safety, quality and compliance training programmes to ensure adherence to company standards, regulatory requirements and operational best practices.
- Partner with HR to develop and manage structured career advancement and capability-building programmes to strengthen the pipeline of frontline and outlet leadership talent.
- Lead and develop the Operations Training team, ensuring effective delivery of training programmes and alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning initiatives to enhance accessibility, engagement and consistency of training across the organisation.
- Support new outlet openings, business expansion and operational transformation projects by ensuring outlet teams are adequately trained and prepared for successful execution.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and continuously evaluate training effectiveness to drive operational improvements, customer experience and overall business performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in F&B, QSR, retail or hospitality operations and training.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience in operations training or related functions.
- Experience in multi-outlet/chain operations and outlet capability development will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing operational training programmes, SOP deployment and structured learning pathways for frontline and management teams.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms and digital learning solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare reports and training materials.
