Job Title: CMF Developer (MES Developer)

Mission of Job Role

Develop, customize, implement, and support CMF Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Extended MES solutions to enable manufacturing process automation, system integration, traceability, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain CMF MES and Extended MES applications to support manufacturing operations.
• Develop and enhance MES functionalities, workflows, services, interfaces, and system integrations.
• Develop and maintain front-end web applications and dashboards using Angular to support MES and manufacturing solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations between MES, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), shop floor equipment, IoT devices, and third-party applications.
• Analyze business requirements and convert functional specifications into technical solutions.
• Develop scripts, APIs, web services, dashboards, and reports to support manufacturing KPIs and operational excellence.
• Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Create, optimize, and maintain SQL/Oracle database objects, stored procedures, functions, and queries.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, interface, front-end, and database issues to minimize production downtime.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, SOPs, and support materials.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and new manufacturing solution implementations.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, IT Acceptance Testing (ITAT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide 24x7 production support for MES and Extended MES applications when required.

Qualifications

Formal Education / Degree

• Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree / Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

Professional Experience

• 3–8 years of software development experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, MES, or related environments.
• Hands-on experience in MES development and customization, preferably using CMF platforms.
• Experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular is preferred.

Project / Process

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Change Management Process, and Application Release Management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is an advantage.

Skills / Knowledge

Professional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and manufacturing business processes.
• Experience with CMF MES application development and customization.
• Knowledge of manufacturing system integration and Industry 4.0 concepts.

IT Skills

• Strong programming skills in C# .NET, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python, or equivalent technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Angular framework, component-based architecture, services, routing, state management, and REST API integration.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and responsive web design principles.
• Strong SQL/Oracle database development skills including stored procedures, functions, views, and performance tuning.
• Experience with REST API, Web Services, Windows/Web Applications, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with source control tools, deployment processes, and software development best practices.
• Experience integrating MES with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and shop-floor automation systems.

Methodology

• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps practices.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
• FMEA and 8D problem-solving knowledge is an added advantage.
