Finance Executive – Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Maintain full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and schedules
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions

2. Billing, Collections & Payments

  • Prepare customer invoices, statements, and follow up on outstanding receivables
  • Process supplier payments, staff claims, and petty cash
  • Monitor daily cash flow and ensure smooth financial operations

3. Payroll & Statutory Compliance (Malaysia)

  • Assist in payroll processing including salary, OT, allowances, deductions, and claims
  • Handle statutory submissions and payments for EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB (LHDN)
  • Prepare EA Form and support year-end payroll reporting
  • Assist in SST submission (if applicable)

4. Taxation & Audit Support

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities
  • Assist in audit preparation, tax computation, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and company policies

5. Budgeting, Cost Control & Analysis

  • Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Monitor expenses and highlight cost variances to management
  • Support cost control initiatives and financial planning

6. Internal Control & Documentation

  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Ensure internal controls are adhered to and suggest process improvements
  • Support internal audit and management reviews

7. Administrative & Management Support

  • Prepare financial summaries and reports for management decision-making
  • Perform ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as required

Requirements

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1–3 years relevant working experience (fresh graduates may be considered)
  • Familiar with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, SST and Malaysian accounting practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Good attention to detail, able to work independently, and meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
