Job Summary
You will assist PUB in operating tidal gates between the reservoir and sea, monitor reservoir conditions, supervise contractors, and ensure operational readiness through weather and CCTV monitoring.
Responsibilities
Operate tidal gates between the reservoir and sea to regulate water flow effectively
Check and record reservoir and sea level meter readings hourly to maintain accurate operational data
Monitor CCTV footage at reservoir premises to detect activities and ensure site security
Review weather forecasts regularly to prepare for tidal gate operations and respond to environmental changes
Supervise on-site contractors and monitor their duties to ensure compliance with operational standards
Required competencies and certifications
Possess at least a NITEC certificate
Ability to work shifts to maintain continuous tidal gate operations
Competent in using computers, including Microsoft Office, to record data and communicate effectively
Reliable personal transportation to travel to and from the worksite
