Spektra Bumimas Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Manager to lead and oversee construction project from planning through completion, in Miri Sarawak. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project execution, coordinating site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall construction activities for assigned projects.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion in accordance with project schedules.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
- Manage project resources including manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project costs and resource utilization to achieve budget objectives.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements across all project activities.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to management.
- Resolve project issues and provide effective solutions to maintain project performance.
- Accountable for QA/QC management and quality control on site.
- Setting up detailed construction schedule and sequence based on approved Project Execution Plan
- Lead construction interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines and cub-contractors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in leading and integrating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or senior project leadership role.
- Familiar with Malaysia's JKR specification, Standard Code of Practice & Regulations.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management, and contract administration.
- Familiar with construction site hazard & safety, health & environmental requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project is an advantage.
- Willing to travel and be stationed at project sites within Sarawak if required.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
