Summary

We are seeking an Electromechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the automation, electrical systems, and electromechanical machinery. The role involves supporting production equipment, machine troubleshooting and repair, process integration, new product introduction, and continuous improvement. Hands-on troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems is required. Experience with Omron, Schneider, Innovance, and Panasonic PLCs is an advantage.

1. Electrical & PLC Control Systems

·     Assist with PLC troubleshooting, minor logic modifications, and HMI updates.

·     Diagnose issues involving sensors, relays, contactors, AC/DC motor circuits and electrical panels.

·     Support wiring improvements, control panel modification, and electrical upgrades.

1. Electro-Pneumatic Systems

·     Troubleshoot cylinders, valves, solenoids, FRLs, and pneumatic circuits.

·     Integrate pneumatic devices into PLC control systems.

·     Support air pressure tuning and pneumatic system improvements.

1. Machine Troubleshooting & Repair

·     Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of production machinery.

·     Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues.

·     Replace components, adjust alignments, recalibrate sensors, and restore machine operation.

·     Minimize downtime and support continuous production flow.

1. Production Support

·     Provide hands-on support during machine downtime or production issues.

·     Collaborate with operators and supervisors to restore equipment quickly.

·     Analyse recurring issues and implement root-cause corrective actions.

1. New Product Improvement (NPI Support)

·     Support machine/fixture adjustments and process changes for new product introduction.

·     Assist in trial runs, capability studies, and parameter tuning.

·     Work with engineering to validate product compatibility with existing equipment.

1. Process Integration

·     Assist in integrating new machines or automation modules into existing production lines.

·     Work on mechanical fitment, wiring, communication setup, and control system compatibility.

·     Support workflow and layout improvement initiatives.

1. Hands-On Technical Work

·     Perform direct troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, control, and pneumatic systems.

·     Install sensors, replace components, perform wiring, and align or calibrate equipment.

·     Support machine upgrades, fixture installations, and process improvements.

1. Maintenance & Preventive Work

·     Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment.

·     Lead troubleshooting activities and support technicians.

·     Use diagnostic tools: multimeter, clamp meter, basic oscilloscope, encoder tester.

1. Documentation & Reporting

·     Maintain wiring diagrams, PLC backups (when applicable), and troubleshooting logs.

·     Prepare technical reports and root-cause analysis documents.

1. To assist the immediate superior or HOD as when required from time to time.

Job Specification/Requirements: -

Ø  Possess a degree or diploma in electromechanical engineering or equivalent.

Ø  Possess a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experienced in automation, electrical system and electromechanical and or similar field.

Ø  Possess knowledgeable and experiences in Omron, Schneider, Innovance and Panasonic PLCs is an added advantageous.

Ø  Possess Technical Skills (Required): -

·     Strong hands-on troubleshooting and machine repair (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic).

·     Control systems and PLC troubleshooting.

·     The electrical wiring, panel work, and sensor integration.

·     The ability to read electrical drawings, and basic mechanical diagrams (AutoCAD).

·     Familiarity with industrial sensors, actuators, and safety devices.

Ø  Possess the Advantage / Preferred Skills

·       Experience with Schneider, Innovance, Panasonic PLCs (Advantage).

·       Experience with Creo, AutoCAD, or any CAD software (Advantage).

·       Kaizen, Lean, or continuous improvement knowledge.

Ø Capable in a teamwork environment and a team player.
