We are looking for a highly motivated
Simulation & Calculation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse industries, including oil& gas, marine, utilities, and aerospace, while contributing to both cutting-edge R&D initiatives and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, applying advanced simulation and calculation expertise to solve complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Failure Analysis: Conduct forensic investigations to determine root causes of machinery/equipment failures, industrial accidents, and fires/explosions.
- Finite Element Simulation: Perform mechanical and thermo-mechanical analyses using advanced FE methods.
- Collaborative Support: Partner with failure analysis colleagues to provide simulation insights that strengthen investigations.
- Model Development: Create efficient FE models for damage assessment and defect analysis in materials.
- Validation & Refinement: Compare simulation results with experimental data, refine methodologies, and improve predictive accuracy.
- Global Collaboration: Work closely with international teams, laboratories, and suppliers on material characterization, testing, and model validation.
Qualification & Requirement
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Technical Expertise: Strong foundation in solid mechanics, mechanical dynamics, damage mechanisms, cyclic fatigue, failure analysis, and material science.
- FEA Tools: Hands-on experience with commercial solvers such as ABAQUS and ANSYS.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver results under tight timelines.
- Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Fortran, Python, C++, or similar languages; experience developing user subroutines is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
