We're Hiring | Senior Software Engineer (Backend) | Singapore

Are you an experienced Backend Engineer passionate about building scalable enterprise solutions, cloud-native applications, and resilient systems?

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join a large-scale technology transformation initiative supporting mission-critical systems within a secure enterprise environment.

Location: Singapore

Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP (Subject to Security Clearance Approval)

Contract Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility: Singapore Citizens Only

Salary: Up to SGD 9,000/month (All-Inclusive Package)

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend), you will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to improve development efficiency, system reliability, and operational excellence through modern engineering practices and cloud technologies.

You will play a key role in designing scalable backend solutions, enabling platform adoption, and driving engineering best practices across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript

Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to improve development workflows and system resiliency

Assess existing technical environments and identify opportunities for optimization and automation

Drive adoption of engineering best practices including:

• CI/CD

• DevOps

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

• Automation Frameworks

Develop transition roadmaps and implementation strategies for engineering improvements

Build cron jobs, automation scripts, and batch processing solutions

Design and implement streaming data solutions and event-driven architectures

Support Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives and early-stage solution validation

Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation recommendations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of software engineering experience

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Node.js

• TypeScript

Experience with one or more cloud platforms:

• AWS

• Microsoft Azure

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Experience building:

• Batch Processing Solutions

• Cron Jobs

• Automation Scripts

Experience working with:

• Streaming Data

• Event-Driven Systems

• Distributed Architectures

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience delivering large-scale enterprise implementations

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Preferred Experience

DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

Kubernetes & Containerization

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Government, Banking, Defense, or Highly Secure Environments

Air-Gapped or Security-Cleared Systems
