about the job:
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting and managing multiple testing and production environments across the organisation's core platforms and connected applications.You will coordinate environment setup for various project phases, oversee deployments, monitor environment stability, and ensure readiness for development, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing activities.

The role also involves executing configuration changes, reviewing deployment instructions, supporting test execution, and maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders on environment status, risks, and timelines. You will collaborate closely with global teams, release managers, and change management functions to ensure smooth delivery across environments.

skills and experience required:

• Experience in environment management, configuration management, or technical support within an IT setup.
• Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments (essential) and familiarity with J2EE and JBoss.
• Experience with Core Banking, Temenos T24 and familiarity with terminal emulators like Quick3270.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, VBA, and Java to drive environment efficiencies.
• Practical experience with Automic UC4 (AWA) for job scheduling and process automation.
• Understanding of Test User Management, configuration management, or technical support within a complex IT setup.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL or Oracle, and exposure to Agile/DevOps practices using tools like JIRA.
• Understanding of deployment/release tools (e.g., ARA, Octopus) and knowledge of ITIL practices/change management processes.
