DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- Equipment Maintenance: To oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of all mechanical systems and machinery involved in brick manufacturing, including kilns, mixers, extruders, and conveyors.
- Process Optimization: Analyze production processes and identify areas for mechanical improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
- Project Management: Lead mechanical engineering projects, such as the installation of new machinery or upgrades to existing systems, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize production interruptions, working closely with the maintenance team to implement effective solutions. Coordinate/ liaise with all production departments and assist to schedule preventive maintenance. Hands-on to work field is required.
- Design and Development: Assist in the design and modification of mechanical components and systems to meet the specific needs of the bricks production process.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all mechanical systems and processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including maintenance schedules, equipment manuals, and project reports.
- Spare parts Management: Coordinate with production departments and purchasing department for equipment, devices and spare part stock list, to ensure cost-effective and timely stock replenishment.
- Training: Provide training to production and maintenance teams on the proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical equipments.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: To perform any ad hoc tasks related to the Mechanical Engineering duties to be assigned by the management from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in manufacturing environment or similar heavy industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial machinery used in production. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools are advantage.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams, including production, maintenance, and management.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in both maintenance and documentation tasks.
- Hands-on experience to work field is preferred.
