JOB PURPOSE:

Manage engineering and design activities related to Hull, Marine & Mooring and Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Telecommunication (EICT) disciplines and to ensure the coordination of activities within a project / engineering phases / bidding are in order to meet Client’s contractual requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage engineering and design activities during Conceptual Engineering, Engineering Definition, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design Engineering deliverables throughout all phases of engineering to ensure delivery of safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective design.
• Review, finalize and responsible for the Master Deliverable Register, calculation reports, engineering analysis, engineering drawings and equipment / packages specifications at Conceptual Engineering, Engineering Definition, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design Engineering phases.
• Provide technical advice and / or solution related to candidate vessel RLEC inspection, assessment and selection, engineering workshop such as HAZID, HAZOP, 3D Model review, Project Risk Studies and etc. to comply with Client’s requirements / Project specifications.
• Manage engineering and design changes in accordance with agreed Management of Change process and project contractual requirements.
• Provide technical support to Project Services in developing the project proposal (CAPEX, Schedule).
• Understand and monitor all interfaces with disciplines and external parties such as Clients, Classification Societies, Regulatory Bodies, Vendors and Consultants.
• Accountable in the project Engineering Execution Plan (EEP) as per OBU standard procedures & guidelines and ensure compliance with Client’s requirements.
• Provide input to Project Execution Plan (PEP) and other relevant project plans.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Naval or other related engineering).
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia, minimum as Graduate Engineer.
• Preference: Professional Engineer / Chartered Engineer registered with recognized professional body.
• 15 years of relevant work experience in Oil and Gas sector (Hull & Marine).
• Minimum involvement in one (1) Floater Project i.e. FPSO etc.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in managing specific engineering discipline or project management.
• Experience in Conceptual Engineering, Engineering Definition, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design Engineering.
