Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide prompt technical support for network-related incidents, service requests, troubleshooting, configuration, and connectivity issues within the hospital environment.
  • Act as the main contact point for all network-related issues reported through Helpdesk, First Level Support, users, vendors, or hospital representatives.
  • Respond to customers and internal support teams to help diagnose and resolve network problems, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, switch connectivity, port issues, IP addressing, routing, firewall connectivity, and network access-related matters.
  • Perform initial analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of network issues, including connectivity failure, slow network performance, network device availability, cabling issues, and network configuration problems.
  • Support the Technical Team Lead and Onsite Manager in ensuring that all network equipment, including switches, routers, access points, firewalls, and related network infrastructure, are operating smoothly and available as required.
  • Follow standard procedures to escalate unresolved or complex network issues to the appropriate internal teams, principal, vendor, HQ, or Second Level Support.
  • Coordinate with vendors, HQ, and relevant technical teams for network-related incidents, change requests, configuration changes, preventive maintenance, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure that any network changes, configuration updates, or corrective actions are properly assessed, documented, approved where required, and updated in the Helpdesk system.
  • Assist in the implementation, testing, and verification of network changes, new network deployment, network replacement, repair activity, and network-related project activities.
  • Ensure proper testing is performed after any network deployment, repair, replacement, configuration change, or service restoration activity.
  • Assist the Technical Team Lead in ensuring that network-related job requests, Helpdesk issues, and assigned tickets are resolved and closed within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Monitor and verify the availability and performance of network devices and services, including network connectivity to servers, workstations, printers, clinical systems, third-party systems, and related hospital applications.
  • Assist in identifying recurring network issues, preparing technical findings, and recommending corrective or preventive actions to improve network stability.
  • Support quarterly Preventive Maintenance activities involving network devices, network points, communication equipment, and related infrastructure.
  • Maintain proper records of network configuration, network inventory, device details, IP address information, port mapping, network diagrams, troubleshooting actions, and resolution notes where applicable.
  • Assist in network-related site visits, inspections, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and user support activities when required.
  • Participate actively in internal meetings, technical discussions, incident reviews, and operational coordination meetings to meet service delivery objectives.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer, technical briefing, training, or handover related to network operations as and when required.
  • Ensure all assigned network-related incidents, service requests, changes, and operational activities are properly updated in the Helpdesk system.
  • Participate in after-hours, standby, and on-call support activities whenever required to ensure continuous system availability and operational support.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or its equivalent.
  • Additional certification in Cisco, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet, Juniper, Microsoft, Linux, ITIL, cybersecurity, or similar technologies will be an added advantage.
  • Min 2-3 years of relevant or related network/technical support experience.
  • Basic understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL,MariaDB or equivalent platforms.
  • Familiarity with SQL scripting, database backup and recovery concepts, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of database security principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Fresh Graduates encourage to apply with approximately 1 year of internship, 1 year industrial training, or relevant hands-on experience are encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate a strong learning mindset, positive attitude, and commitment to professional development.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
