Key Accountability :

1. Lead and manage teams to deliver cloud application solutions to Awantec clients and contribute technical insights to client engagements.
2. Primary responsibilities in client cloud application architecture design (conducting comprehensive analysis, designing scalable solutions, ensuring reliability and resilience, selecting appropriate cloud services, and architecting for security)
3. Develop and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective client GCP-based application solutions aligned (customer application design) with the client's business objectives. Cloud Solution architects assess the client’s current infrastructure, applications, and business requirements to determine the optimal cloud architecture.
4. Lead the early discussion and analysis of cloud concepts with prospective clients, and assist in creating proof-of-concepts with the full backing of the relevant teams.
5. Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting GCP solutions to potential clients.
6. Develop comprehensive technical designs for GCP application-based solutions, considering scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency factors.
7. Designing and developing client cloud-native application architectures or optimising existing applications
8. Evaluate the offerings, selecting GCP services like compute instances, storage options, databases, and networking components that best suit the organisation’s needs.
9. Lead the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition from on-premises or other cloud environments to GCP.
10. Proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities for cloud applications for further business and team growth.

Job Summary :

1. Lead the development of client cloud applications. Examine the client's existing systems and programs to identify areas for improvement and integration.
2. Evaluate potential solutions using technical and commercial criteria supporting the established cost and service requirements (Gather requirements and specifications from clients and users).
3. Meet with clients to provide feedback and updates on development projects throughout, from the initial conversations to determine project scope and specifications to the final presentation of software solutions.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud migration strategies and solution architectures.
5. Evaluate the entire technology stack, including operations, administration, automation, and PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service)
6. Develop estimates and strategies for client proposals and SOWs using the lead cloud solution and scoping.
7. Develop schedules and test plans, prepare documentation based on analyst reports, and assemble documents presenting project guidelines and milestones to team members.
8. Communicate directly with enterprise architects, developers, and clients.
9. Perform a thorough technical discovery, identifying problem areas, technical and business requirements, and as-is and future state scenarios.
10. Work closely with sales team members and enterprise architects to understand stakeholder expectations and limitations before undertaking a major development project.
11. Identify potential issues between systems and client specifications and propose new solutions to work around these limitations.
12. Determine a project’s scope before developers begin any major work and identify areas where implementation may require more solutions to be successful.
13. Direct and oversee the activities of a team of developers, answering questions or helping to resolve issues as they arise.
14. Monitor timelines and progress to ensure that team members adhere to these specifications.
15. Prepare reports, presentations, and demonstrations to inform the client about issues arising during development and report on integration and deployment.
16. Work with outside vendors to develop and implement specific aspects of the software solution.
17. Consider costs and timelines and ensure that vendors meet deliverables and project elements deadlines.
18. Review proposals and estimates from vendors and determine whether they fit into existing budgetary and time restrictions.

Key Requirements:

1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer/ electrical engineering, information technology or a related field
2. Relevant certifications, such as Google Professional Certification. Google Cloud Developer is an advantage.
3. A system engineering or developer background with the ability to learns quickly and share your knowledge with the broader team.
4. A mindset to automate everything.
