What You Will Do

At SPL, you are an integral part of our team - driving meaningful projects and witnessing the tangible difference your work makes. As an Engineer I, IT Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-availability network and system infrastructure that supports enterprise and operational technologies in SimplyGo. Ensure reliable connectivity for mission-critical systems such as ticketing and fare collection, payment gateways, and related backend systems. You will perform network and system modernization, cybersecurity, and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and Cyber Security standards.

Key Tasks You Will Be Involved In

Network Operations & Infrastructure

• Manage and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, data center, and transport network infrastructure with 24/7 availability.
• Provide operational support through on-call rotation, incident response, and maintenance activities.
• Design, implement, and support network and security solutions including Cisco routing/switching, Check Point and Fortinet firewalls, MPLS, VPN, Wireless LAN, and load balancing technologies.
• Deploy and manage network configurations across on-premises, cloud, and partner environments.
• Support connectivity for real-time systems, payment platforms, kiosks, partner integrations, and regulatory interfaces.
• Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and perform proactive health checks.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes, and expansion projects.
• Maintain network documentation, inventory records, and operational procedures.

Security & Compliance

• Monitor and strengthen network security in collaboration with MSSPs and Information Security teams.
• Manage firewall policies, IPS/IDS, vulnerability remediation, firmware upgrades, and security patching.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises.

Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity

• Design and support secure hybrid connectivity between data centers and cloud platforms using Site-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect.
• Deploy and manage cloud networking and security solutions across Azure, AWS, and GovCloud environments.
• Support cloud-native and third-party security platforms, including firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.

This role might be for you if you have:

• Training in Computer Science, Information Technology of equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience managing enterprise-scale, mission-critical network and infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Arista, VMware ESXi, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, Layer 2/3 networking, Wireless LAN, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls, IPS, load balancers, and network security solutions.
• Proficient in network troubleshooting, packet analysis (Wireshark), and performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments, including Azure VNets, Azure VMs, AWS VPCs, and EC2.
• Proven ability to support 24×7 operations, manage incidents, and deliver infrastructure projects.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, NSE, Check Point, Azure, AWS) are an advantage.
