Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Software Engineer role based in Johore, Malaysia, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support testing, process automation, and laboratory workflows for electronics manufacturing clients. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, implementing back-end services and APIs, and integrating systems with test and measurement equipment. The role involves collaborating with technical consultants and other stakeholders to understand customer requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing systems. The Software Engineer will also participate in code reviews, document technical solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), using one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs, working with databases, and integrating with external systems or devices.
• Ability to apply engineering best practices such as version control (e.g., Git), testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, collaborating effectively with on-site and remote team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, test automation, or laboratory systems is an advantage.
