About the role

Alam Kotamas Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team. In this full-time position based in Papar District, Sabah, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Managing the planning, design, and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including architects, construction workers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution
• Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and identifying and resolving any technical issues that arise
• Ensuring projects adhere to all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Preparing detailed reports, cost estimates, and other project documentation
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar project engineering role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction methods
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Proficient in using engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools
