ACGT Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Genting Plantations Berhad, is spearheading the transformation of agriculture through genomics, artificial intelligence, precision agriculture, controlled-environment farming, and sustainable food production.
As part of the AgTech Campus development in Kulai, Johor, ACGT is establishing a world-class integrated food production ecosystem encompassing greenhouse cultivation, fresh produce production, post-harvest handling, food processing, cold-chain logistics, and export-oriented agribusiness operations.
To support our expansion into premium halal markets, we are seeking an experienced Halal Certification & Compliance Manager to lead halal governance, certification, and compliance across our entire agricultural and food value chain.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Halal Certification & Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing ACGT's Halal Assurance System and ensuring compliance with Malaysian and international halal standards.
The successful candidate will oversee halal certification for greenhouse operations, fresh produce production, packhouses, processing facilities, logistics, warehouses, and export supply chains while supporting market access initiatives across the Middle East and other global halal markets.
This role will serve as ACGT's subject matter expert and primary liaison with halal authorities, certification bodies, government agencies, customers, and international stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute ACGT's corporate halal strategy aligned with export growth objectives.
• Establish ACGT as a leading halal-compliant fresh produce and food producer in the region.
• Develop halal governance frameworks covering farm-to-fork operations.
• Support the commercialization of halal-certified products into domestic and international markets.
• Advise senior management on halal regulatory developments and market opportunities.
HALAL CERTIFICATION MANAGEMENT
• Lead halal certification applications, renewals, and audits for all ACGT facilities and operations.
• Establish and maintain Halal Assurance Management Systems (HAS).
• Develop halal compliance protocols for:
o Agricultural & Fresh Produce Compliance
Greenhouse operations
Open-field cultivation
Seedling production
Hydroponic systems
Fertigation systems
Harvesting operations

JOB REQU I REMENTS:• Minimum 10 years of experience in halal certification, food manufacturing, agribusiness, fresh produce, or food export industries.• Proven experience working directly with JAKIM and recognized halal certification bodies.• Experie nce obtaining halal certification for food production facilities and export-oriented businesses.• Experie nce supporting exports to GCC and Middle East markets is highly preferred.• Experie nce in greenhouse operations, fresh produce supply chains, or controlled-environment agriculture is an added advantage.
