The Role

As a Technical Architect – Data & AI, you will take ownership of designing and leading the implementation of enterprise-scale Data, Analytics, AI, and Generative AI solutions. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technology, collaborating closely with stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative data-driven outcomes including engagements within Malaysia's public sector and government technology landscape.

What You'll Do

• Define end-to-end architecture for Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, and Generative AI solutions, translating business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps.

• Design data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures, including batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks.

• Architect Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and prompt engineering, and establish MLOps and LLMOps practices for deployment and governance.

• Design cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, covering infrastructure requirements, performance optimisation, and cost management.

• Ensure solutions align with Malaysia Government technology standards, GCC governance frameworks, and GovTech architecture and security compliance requirements.

• Engage with business leaders and technical teams, present architecture solutions to executives, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Solution Architecture, with strong expertise in enterprise Data and AI solutions.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and associated services such as Azure Synapse, Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, and AWS Bedrock.

• Proficiency in data technologies including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, data modeling, data governance, and real-time streaming.

• Experience with AI and ML lifecycle management, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and responsible AI principles.

• Programming skills in Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark, with working knowledge of DevOps/MLOps tooling including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and MLflow.

• Familiarity with Malaysia Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), GovTech compliance requirements, and experience working with public sector or regulated environments in Malaysia.
