Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Executive role based at Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Procurement Executive will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining and evaluating quotations, and issuing purchase orders in line with hospital policies and budgets. This role oversees inventory levels for medical supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring timely availability while optimizing cost and quality. The Procurement Executive will coordinate with clinical, administrative, and finance teams to understand requirements, clarify specifications, and resolve supply issues. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate procurement records, monitoring supplier performance, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes and vendor management practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including purchase orders and purchase management, with experience in end-to-end procurement workflows.
  • Well-developed analytical skills to compare quotations, analyze usage and pricing trends, and support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, negotiate with vendors, and document procurement decisions clearly.
  • Experience in healthcare or hospital procurement, especially medical supplies and equipment, is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in procurement or ERP systems and basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling contracts and pricing, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.
